On the final farm walk this trip I took some pics of some of the flora growing on the farm. Over the years it has regenerated all over the property. It wasn’t really there when I was a kid. It looks so pretty. The Wattle:
Miss Gremlin and Grand Master D did some cooking on the last night with Ma. They had a cake mix for a vanilla loaf cake. Ma didn’t have a loaf tin so they made cupcakes instead.
We went on a Gold mine tour. There’s a little town called Yackandandah which was part of the Victorian Gold Rush around 1852. After the initial rush where everyone was finding the gold in the creeks and rivers, they had to start mining it.
Grand Master D especially but Miss Gremlin too, have been pestering me to let them split logs. I have avoided it because it can be dangerous, however at Uncle Glenn’s all the boys went out and felled a tree, cut it up and brought it back.
