I may or may not have just experienced my first pre-teen tantrum. It was messy, there were tears. He was pretty upset too 🙂 .
I’m not sure I handled it well to begin with, the frustration went straight to 11. I think it was shock but in the end I just let it go. He had to collect himself, there was nothing I could do. It took some time but we got through it.
I think he was embarrassed afterwards and couldn’t even explain why it happened.
I’m not looking forward to the next one, I hope it’s not too soon. I truly wasn’t expecting it to be honest. I had no idea. I thought it was a toddler thing.
Oh well, some days are for learning new stuff.
