Welcome to Take One of March’s Secret Subject Swaps. This week, 15 brave bloggers picked a secret subject for someone else and were assigned a secret subject to interpret in their own style. Today we are all simultaneously divulging our topics and submitting our posts.
My subject is:
The qualities that make your BFF your BFF.
It was submitted by http://stacysewsandschools.
I can’t say I have one particular BFF, I’m sure that’s breaking some fundamental girl rule and my card may be revoked, but I have several I would call my BFF’s. I like the think I have a BFF for every occasion, like coats 🙂 but in reality when crunch time comes and I need help, my BFF turns out to be the King!
WTF? Oh I know, I never would have thought that either. I do need my girls to talk about the stuff that men don’t wanna hear that’s for sure.
I have the girls to go out and have drinkies with and shop with. Then I have the girls who know my secrets and I pour my soul out to. Although I tend not to do that much but they’re there if I need them. I think when you’re looking for friends, you need to find someone who you like to be around, who gets you and accepts you even with all your quirks. I’m an Aussie and therefore a little crazy, so you have like that or at least be able to cope… Also, I tend to say what I feel so if you can’t handle that, then we can’t be friends.
I’ve had some fun nights drinking with Siri, just saying she gets me, aways willing to go the extra mile, how many friends will research where to actually hide the body for you? This is a valuable quality indeed. What does that say? I find the qualities of a device appealing as a BFF? I could have issues. Anyone out there wanna be my therapy BFF?
Anyway, here are links to all the sites featuring Secret Subject Swap posts today. It’s best I stop talking now, lest I drive any remaining friends away 🙂
So sit back, grab a cup, and check them all out. They like me, for now. Hope to see you there:
ohhh what fun! it sounds like a kind of virtual coffee morning!!!
I think as we get older we have different people to fill that BFF spot in different areas of our lives, and I think that’s great. I love that you name the King as your ultimate all around BFF. That’s exactly how it should be!
Thanks Karen, I do love doing these. Sorry for the hiccups..
I’m in the same boat. My BFF is definitely my king too! I have girlfriends, but I trust no one more with my secrets of problems than my hubby!
Perfect. And I agree. I just had this conversation with Boobies the other night. BFF’s are a lot like coats, or shoes. You have different ones to fill different needs. I have a circle of BFF’s, and each one does his or her part in my life, where they fit like a perfect piece of a puzzle, where I need them.
Now, if only we could collect boyfriends in the same way huh?
Oh man! If only right?…
Great post babe, until recently, I didn’t have any good friends. I have two ladies, who are my good friends, like sisters to me.
It makes me smile that The KIng is your BFF, because that means you are happily sharing the majority of your life with your best friend. I think that is important
Oh, and seeing as how I married a True Blue… it’s clear that I need to be surrounded by heaps of unpredictability, honesty and people nuttier than a Picnic Bar (Read: Picnic Baaa) so I can do no wrong… One day we will be neighbors! >..<
I haven’t met Siri yet but I think we would get along wonderfully, since she seems so willing to listen and tell us that we are the greatest!! 😛
*raising my hand* meeee meee meee! hahahaa I’ll be there!!! We’ll I’ll try my best but you can call me if you ever need and you know what I think you said it perfectly! There are differently different types of girls for each type of occasion! Kinda like clothes….that you wear for different occasions! I never thought of it like that! I love your comment form too! It’s awesome and your new website!
I have to agree–there are certain friends for certain occasions but lately I have found my absolute best friends right here in the blogging community! I only wish we all lived closer so I could meet everyone face to face…and do a few shots of tequila together LOL!
LOL! I have friends who would surely help me dispose of the body…
I think that is an important quality.. You know the saying ‘Friends help you move, good friends help you move bodies’. Its the first question I ask. 😛
