I Got Nuthin’

Writing a blog is fun, but sometimes it’s hard to come up with stuff that’s interesting and people want to read every day. Some days you can churn ou several posts and have it all going on but other times you sit at the computer and…nothing!

This whole week has been like that, really…nothing. It’s like my creativity has gone for summer vacation.

I start writing, then I check twitter and then I go back and write another couple of lines and …. wait facebook, somebody said something? quick check, it might be important! Nope nothing special, now where was I? oh yeah …no this is not an interesting post, what else can I write about.

I start another idea and then I get stuck again.

This is what my draft folder looks like :draft folder

25, yep 25 drafts! I never have that many un-ideas. Yep that’s my word, I made it up…It’s a problem… My mojo is missing. I’m just not feeling creative at all…but please forgive me, I’m sure it happens to the best writers.

I’m going to the park to find my muse. Sneaky witch has left me in the lurch. She’s in so much trouble. If you see her out partying, send her home, tell her she has responsibilities at home. It’s not ok to abandon your work like that!

Not even this cuteness gives me any inspiration!

Keep coming back. I’ll be awesome again, I just know it πŸ™‚

The family are insisting I go to Central park…. Maybe I’ll find her there.

  1. That’s a very full drafts folder! Come join in the Ten Things of Thankful hop chez moi, and you’ll get to make a gorgeous post with minimal effort AND spread some happiness into the bargain πŸ˜‰

  2. I keep a list of topics to write about. It’s huge! My problem is – I have too many ideas and not enough time, and sometimes I just feel like a drained battery and have no motivation to sit down and write. My muse filed for divorce a long time ago – right in the middle of writing a novel. The bastard.

I hope your muse shows up on your doorstep, hung over and wearing the party dress she left the house in 3 days ago but begging for your forgiveness.

You’ll get your mojo back. πŸ˜‰ loves ya, gf!

  3. You know what would be fun? If all of us who have drafts stuck in our folders, gave them to someone else to see how THEY would finish them. Really. It would be fun. Thanks for linking up (with your other post) with us at the LOBS party πŸ™‚

  4. Ah yes- the Witch that steals your mojo and uses it to stir-up feelings of ineptness and doubts of self-worth. She is tricky vixen that lies deep within us all and must be dealt with as one deals with an unruly child, pile of laundry,or controlling lover- give a warning, spot treat, and then if all else fails- pitch the MF’er out.
    Very clearing.
