This is NOT a Travel Blog

So we’re going away, we’re leaving the country, we’re heading off into the wild blue yonder, we’re travelling Down Under….on QANTAS of course 🙂

We’re going home, not this home, the other home, for a visit. I can’t be the only person who has 2 homes in different countries. It’s just how I refer to it all.

When I’m in New York then I refer to Australia as home, when I’m there I refer to New York as home. It’s a little odd but I don’t care. So don’t try to argue. Home is where the heart is and my heart is with my family. My immediate and extended, so what if they are on two different continents.

Now this is not a travel blog. I don’t get to do it often enough to even write a travel blog but during the time we’re away, I will be writing about our adventures and experiences and I guess by default, until we return this will become a travel blog. I promise to put plenty of pictures of fluffy creatures and some not so fluffy. I’ll do my bit to promote tourism in the Wide Brown Land …

I’ll be sure to say ‘Where the Bloody Hell are Ya?’ and show you the richness of the experiences you could have…. but mostly I’m going home for an accent refresher and some real beer 🙂

Hooroo……

  1. I definitely think that travelling home falls under the category of travel. Loads of travel bloggers seem to neglect travelling home as a big deal, or see it as irrelevant even. Home is such a significant part of travel – it’s the A and it’s the Z, it’s the centre, the root, of all travels, and it’s importance must not be under-represented.
