In the last few weeks things have been breaking, you’ve seen the toilet seat post and the fact he bought the wrong size, well now we have the right size coming, no we didn’t return the seat, eewww that’d be gross and also I don’t think you can return used toilet seats, I think it’s something like the underwear rule.
So wait, if you didn’t return the seat but there’s the right size arriving how? wait, what? Well I will let you marinate a moment and remember to whom I’m married. We have a new toilet coming to fit the elongated toilet seat. He’s planning on installing it himself. It’s a power/jet flush model. Be afraid and expect details.
Then our kitchen sink flip mix faucet broke. We have a new one of those coming too. But in true Mills style we now have a hand free sensor one…He’s gonna install that too. Worried yet? I’m very confident…. No I am. I married fucking McGyver. It’s true. If he wants to do it he will, whatever it is.
So as you can see we are on a mini home reno course for a bit, Kari from A Graceful Life would be so proud.
While we’re on a roll I got my vanity as well, the one I want for the kids bathroom, to house all the bathroom stuff , including future girly products 🙂 I might be excited. It’s fun to get new stuff.
There will be installation posts and pictures because I know you don’t want to miss the fun. Promise, but it’ll have to wait until the weekend. Other things are afoot and we have a house full of Australians…
But while you’re waiting for all the new stuff to arrive, let’s hook up some oldies but goodies that we wished had more comments or visits or just more laughs at the Hump Day Hook Up .

I love that you mentioned me but do know my standards are really low.
As evidenced by my past projects falling all to hell.
Love the shout out!!!

Well we have had a few fails ourselves…. I’ll be posting don’t worry good or bad
sounds flippin awesome! Crap always hits the fan when company is coming, or when someone is sick and needs your full attention. We spent last weekend changing broken switches all over the house (seriously, why do they all crap out at the same time?), and replacing the light fixture in the pantry. Which is stupid. I never had a light in the pantry before, but now that I’ve had one, I thought I’d die when it did. First world problems I tell ya.
Have fun!

The toilet arrived today…It’s gonna be a big weekend.
I am SOOO not the home improvement type gal. My husband gets so frustrated with me because I’ll bang nails into walls, rather than use anchors and screws to hand pictures. But my husband is incredibly handy. He always surprises me with things like, “I cleaned out the air vents.” Or “I fixed the air conditioner in your car.” Whenever I ask him how, he refuses to say. “It’s my job security, babe,” he’ll tell me. It’s true. A handy guy is good to have around. He’s a pretty good kisser too.

I used to do all sorts of things when I was single and living alone, however I read somewhere men like to be needed and so I have, over the years, given up doing those things. Well sometimes I still do because let’s face it, 6 months is a long time to wait 😛
They sell sensor faucets for homes? Why did that never occur to me?? I need one! NOW!

yes ma’am ! http://www.moen.com/about-moen/smart-innovations/motionsense;jsessionid=a97239da4132609cc4b6a48525cf
I broke the microwave, garage door, and water heater, all in the same week. Now we just redid the deck, and decided to replace the back patio door because the new deck made the old door look worse than what it was. Keep all my fingers and toes crossed that there are no more home improvements for another 10 years!
I hope this home project goes smoothly. 🙂 Thank you.
Oh I’m looking forward to this ! : P
