Nothing Compares-Sinead O’Connor

On Monday evening we had the opportunity to see Sinead O’Connor live at City Winery. Our friend of many years, Brooke, is her guitarist and vocalist and has toured the world with her for the last 3 years. She came through New York last year around the same time but I was ill and unable to attend. This time I was not going to miss out.

Monday nights are not ideal for going out but when something like this comes along you just go. It helps when you’re given an Access All Areas pass.

Look at that date around the right way… warms my heart 😉

It was a fantastic show and our seats had a great view. City Winery is a sit down venue and so we all had tables , makes for harder shows because there’s no real room to get up and dance but you always have a seat so…

And trust me, going to concerts in your 40’s, you want a seat, just sayin’. I have to say it was the most civilised concert ever, table service, sit down and done by 9:30! Nope I’m not old. Not at all 🙂

Sinead rocked us solid for over an hour with her new material and some old favourites. Her vocal range is nothing short of brilliant and there’s so much soul in her music.

Well worth it. If she comes to your town, go see her and say Hi to Brooke from me 🙂
