Ok, so who had a “I stayed up to watch the Oscars and didn’t get enough sleep” day? Yeah me too. Add to that 2 vomiting kids and only 4 hours of sleep with which to handle it all. Stack on top the fact we had no food in the house and even though the snow missed us, it’s frickety-billion degrees below zero outside but still the vomitrons needed their chicken soup.Like a good mummy, I bought all the goodies to make it fresh, with all good intention of doing just that, when I stumbled on a new gluten free variety and all reason went out the window. I was sleep deprived, no judgments.
The deli lady tipped me right over the edge, when she didn’t listen to my order and then got it wrong and gave me the look of death when I questioned her and added another item. I did have another item to add but she was in such a hurry to get rid of me that she slapped it on the counter and began to serve the next person. But I fixed her. I tweeted it out when I left the store.
A little while later I received a reply:
Take that Beyatch! Yep THAT mood, anyway, I got home and the wolves were circling, so I opened that pre made soup, made grilled cheese sandwiches and shooed them back to bed.
After that, I set about making food that would not make them vomit… ( I swear it wasn’t me to begin with) and slipped my headphones in to try to smooth out the mood. Music soothes the savage beast right and I really was feeling rather savage.
Several hours later I finally sat… dinner was ready and they were feeling a little better. My mood had subsided too but only a little.
They better be better tomorrow. With the tests coming up they need all the classroom time they can get.
Monday you suck, I’m going to bed early.

No longer have kids at home but remember intensely those days. Initially saw your tweet and followed it here. Today was similar for me sans kids. Dog threw up chew bone, weekend house guest returned due to poor icy road conditions, not enough wine left over from weekend to deal with this. Lol.

Oh Molley that is a heckuv a tough way to start the week! I hope the kids are feeling better. Unless it’s a vacation day there is no other way around it….Mondays suck 🙂
