I’ve Been Bad (Getting Back To Paleo)

For the last month, while we’ve been away I have been pretty easy on myself and have eaten whatever I wanted. How can you go to the land of meat pies and timtams and NOT have some. I was still fairly careful how I ate but I didn’t deny myself. Surprisingly I didn’t gain any weight but I could certainly tell when I ate any wheat products. I would feel gassy and bloated. Miss Gremlin’s nose is causing her trouble again too…. that nasty cheese and gluten.

So starting back today I will be eating properly again and really do my best to get all of us onto this way of eating. The King is already convinced.
I can really feel the difference when I don’t stick to my plan. I never really noticed it before I became more aware of what I was putting into my body.

I’m looking forward to getting into the book I bought while I was away, Wheat Belly by William Davis. It talks about the negative affects of wheat and gluten on the body.

I’m hoping it will help combat the jetlag as well. I’ll let you know on that one 🙂

I will be posting new recipes and new things I find along the way back to Paleo…. Thanks for staying around even when I wasn’t really talking food.
