It Smells like Puberty Around Here-Ewww

It been pretty hot lately and the children have been spending plenty of time under water and so haven’t really be worrying too much about actual bathing, you know like with soap and forget about putting deodorant on. Not to mention it’s been Miss Gremlin’s only relief during her week of stomach pain. So I haven’t really been paying attention.

The King got home from his trip late last night and today we have spent the day hanging out as a family again. They went out side to play with the alien camera ship that was a family gift. I’m fairly sure I’ll never have need of it-but anyway they’ve had fun freaking the dog out.

Right now they have the motorbike turned upside down in the living room repairing the tyre. The children are helping. It’s been hot and I can smell someone, no wait, EVERYONE! They stink, and not the slight smell of someone whose been a bit sweaty, the hideous stench of an unwashed, undeodorised body… ALL 3 of them! I’m living with Pepe le Pew and his cubs, who are clearly in the midst of puberty. It’s time for an intervention of the soap variety.

Are baby skunks even called cubs? Hmmm, google?

Gross right?!  So after they finish with the bike I’m sending then all to the shower, probably together and then I’ll be lining them up the spray them with fabreeze!

I’m living in the house of P.U.!

  1. Ha ha! Good luck with the new smells entering your world! There’s certainly a moment in any parent’s life when they realise their child could do with a slick of deodorant to get them through the day. With my first it was after particularly vigorous dancing one New Year’s Eve, for the other it was after a hard session playing on the trampoline… both girls, however, means that I don’t have to remind them about showers, more that they’ll leave some hot water in the tank…

  3. When I was teaching music, the middle school stench just about killed me. Blech! I’ve got a few more years before I have to smell it in my own house, but my time is coming I’m sure… Thanks for sharing with us at the Humor Me Blog Hop!
